The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports have announced the cancellation of the Motul Grand Prix of Japan due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The event was set to take place from the 16th to the 18th of October at the Twin Ring Motegi, and was set to host a round of the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup.
The cancellation of the Grand Prix obliges the cancellation of the ATC round at the same event.
Pursuant to information from government authorities, Dorna Sports is closely monitoring the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. As the situation remains in a state of constant evolution, any further calendar changes or replacement rounds cannot be confirmed until it becomes clearer when exactly it will be possible to hold the events.
