Hundreds of young riders have applied to join the ATC as the application period comes to an end
Applications for the 2024 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup have now closed! Hundreds of prospective riders from across Asia and Oceania have put their names forward to join one of the biggest paths on the Road to MotoGP™, and now it’s time to consider their applications and decide which riders will be invited to the next stage: the Selection Event.
This year’s registration period ran from the 23rd of June to the 23rd of August, with hundreds of potential ATC riders from 18 countries applying for the chance to get invited to the Selection Event and join the 2024 grid.
Their applications will each be considered and the list of riders who will be invited to take part in the Selection Event in Malaysia will be published on 8th September 2023.
The Selection Event will then take place at Sepang International Circuit on the 7th and 8th of November 2023. There, our panel of experts will put applicants through their paces to assess each rider, to test both their riding ability and their off-track approach and mindset.
The final decision on who will join the 2024 ATC grid will then be made, and those selected riders will head into a winter programme of preparation to get ready to race.
