Idemitsu ATC riders reunited for Accenture CHAMPS virtual workshop

22 July 2020

The class of 2020 were joined by Hiroshi Aoyama and the Honda Team Asia Moto2™  and Moto3™ riders to focus on communication and social media

On Monday the 20th and Wednesday the 22nd of July, the class of the 2020 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup linked up via Zoom as we wait for racing to resume, taking part in Accenture CHAMPS virtual workshops focused on communication. The riders were talked through a number of different points, from how to answer interview questions to the importance of social media and how to effectively use it, and the workshop was interactive, too.

The Honda Team Asia Moto2™ and Moto3™ riders were also on hand during the events, providing some examples to the IATC class of 2020 and giving their thoughts on their recent races and experience. Somkiat Chantra and Andi Izdihar joined on Monday, with Ai Ogura and Yuki Kunii lending their voices on Wednesday. Former 250cc World Champion and Honda Team Asia boss Hiroshi Aoyama was also a key presence in both workshops – with his contribution focusing especially on the importance of English and how to effectively communicate with your crew to make you both a faster and better racer.

Two quizzes, some interviews and some solid advice later, the workshops left the riders with plenty to think about as we wait for the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup to get back on track. And more virtual activities are planned for the coming weeks as well, keeping the riders on their A-game before competition can begin once again.
