Another workshop sees the ATC class of 2021 focusing on interviews and communication, joined by Chantra and Ogura
After Round 1 opened the 2021 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup in style at Losail International Circuit, the class of 2021 returned to the track on Wednesday the 31st of March for another Accenture CHAMPS virtual workshop, this time focusing on interviews and communication. Joining the ATC riders were Idemitsu Honda Team Asia Moto2™ riders Somkiat Chantra and Ai Ogura, alongside 2009 250 World Champion and Team Manager Hiroshi Aoyama.
As ever, the workshop began with a warm up quiz. With the riders all present, it was a rush to put your hand up first, with everyone getting involved from the off and getting the right answer. From there, the workshop moved on to practical skills and how to talk about your performance or most recent race, with the riders volunteering to talk through their Round 1 – and getting some good examples from Chantra and Ogura.
Next up, the riders worked in pairs to interview each other, with each both asking and answering. Finally, Chantra, Ogura and Aoyama, as well as rider coach Diego Lozano, all shared some advice for the riders as they gear up for Round 2.
